I worked with Christine for 5 years at Dulwich Shanghai and every encounter with Christine increased my admiration and respect for her. She was the most selfless and giving teacher because she was just like that in her life. There are two things that I most associate with her. The first was a complete open-mindedness about everything. She had no preconceptions about books, films, music and people. She was completely open to any new experience and this made her incredibly reassuring as a friend and teacher. Secondly, because of this outlook, she was the best praise giver I've ever met. If you got a positive or constructive comment from Christine you knew it was genuine, thoughtful and kind. She gave and gave and we are all better for knowing her. Peter Ubly
