Dear Nico, Amy and Ashley How lucky I was to not only have worked with the wonderful Christine, but to also to call her a friend. My treasured memories of Christine include her sitting on the lounge chairs in the staff room at DCS, next to her would be a pile of books and marking, and as I walk in she would have the biggest smile and say "Michele... how are you." That simple comment would be full of such warmth, sincerity and an invitation to just sit and chat about everything and anything. I will value the Friday night dinners with Alison, Christine and I, where we would swap wonderful stories full of characters, places, experiences, challenges, love and lots of laughter. My heart breaks at the loss of Christine as I know you were her love and life. It just does not seem right nor fair that she is no longer with us, but how lucky we were to have been a small part of her wonderful journey as she definitely made a difference to all those around her.
